FAQ

Q. What is Remy Hair?

A: The highest-quality extensions, Brazilian and Indian human remy hair.
Remy hair still possesses the cuticle layer, which is the outermost part of the hair strand; it resembles shingles on a roof.
All remy hair has the cuticle layer of the hair flowing in the same direction, flowing the way it would naturally.
The cuticle layer is important when concerned with hair tangling, longevity of the use(up to one year), and how well the hair shines.
When the cuticle layer is intact and lying flat, the hair is capable of reflecting light, so that the hair shines.

Q. How Much Hair Do I Need?

A : If you are getting a full weave the average person needs about 2 packs of hair, although it is advised to go for 3 packs. For weave it is best to buy two packs to make sure you have enough. You can always use the leftover hair later. If you are using hair over 18" long you might need another pack. If you are getting tracks one pack is enough for four to five tracks up to 18" hair length. If you are getting the hair bonded one pack is enough for four to five tracks up to 18" hair length. If you are getting fusion or micro then you will  need to consult your stylist.

Q. What type of hair care products should I use?

A : Treat this hair just as if it was your own hair. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable, so use leave in conditioners. You can also use products like gel and hair spray to keep the curls in place, but make sure to wash your hair and not leave in these products in for a long time.

Recommended shampoos and conditioners: Pantene PROV For treatment and every day use: Olive Oil Hair Polisher.

Q. Why are my hair extensions getting tangled?

A: Your Hair Extensions can tangle due to being to dryness, oil & dirt build-up, salt-water, chlorine and not combin(wide tooth comb) out your hair daily. Make sure to wash & condition your hair at least once a weeK. Use hydrating drops or consult
your stylist for more help. It could also be the hair you purchased, if the hair is Indian Remy Hair or non Remy Hair it is not 100% virgin human hair. So the hair may tangle sooner and not last you as long as 100% virgin hair.

Q. How long does it last?

A : This hair can last for a very long time depending on how you maintain it. Treat it like your own hair and take very good care of it for it to last longer. Many hair extensionist prefer Brazilian or Indian hair because it is beautiful and unprocessed which makes it last longer than any other kind of hair.

Brazilian Hair is the most sought after texture on the market right now! This hair is used diversely because of its softness, durability and density. This texture is easiest to blend with most ethnicities from some Caucasian textures to African American. Brazilian hair is extremely luxurious and very soft. Because of its density, you may not want to use as much as you would normally use with other textures to create a full look. Due to its natural density, with this hair, less is more. Also because of its density, it is less likely to frizz than other hair types like Indian Hair. This hair is extremely versatile-it amazing!

It's luster is low to medium and most bundles come in a natural color 1b-3. Some bundles may have lighter natural highlights. This hair is reported to have minimal shedding, but a normal amount of shedding for curly textures.

Because of its curly texture, this hair requires lots of moisture and is very high maintenance; more so in longer lengths. Each day you will need to activate the curls with a water/conditioner mix to detangle and condition it with a moisturizing conditioner often. This texture is best for someone very experienced with both Virgin and curly hair textures.

In comparison to Malaysian and Peruvian curly hair, this texture would be in the middle in regards to texture. Its definitely textured enough to blend well with natural and relaxed textures.

Malaysian Hair is a highly sought after texture and a very popular option among celebrities. Malaysian hair has an extremely luxurious feel and is sleek and shiny, but not excessively shiny. This hair hold curls extremely well without the use of products. This hair blends very well with most hair types including African American. It does not swell or frizz in humid conditions making it low maintenance. This hair is amazing-you will love it!

Malaysian hairs luster is low to medium; similar to Brazilian hair. Most bundles are naturally very dark brown to dark black (1-2). Some bundles are lighter towards the ends.

Because of its curly texture,  this hair requires lots of moisture and maintenance. Each day you will need to activate the curls with a water/conditioner mix and condition it with a moisturizing conditioner often. This texture is best for someone experienced with both Virgin and curly hair textures. If this is your first Virgin or curly hair purchase, its recommended that you start with only two bundles until you acquire and are comfortable with your curly hair regimen.

In comparison to Brazilian and Peruvian curly hair, this texture is the finest; but still textured enough to blend well with natural and relaxed textures.

Peruvian Hair is the ultimate multi-purpose hair! It's extremely soft and ultimately feather light! You can have up to five bundles of a Peruvian hair installed yet still maintain a feathery light, maintainable style. This hair is coarser in texture than Malaysian, Indian, or Brazilian hair. It blends very well with normal African-American hair textures and medium Caucasian hair textures. This hair has low luster and is extremely luxurious-definitely one of our favorites. Because of its coarse texture this hair requires lots of moisture. It will need to be conditioned often with a moisturizing conditioner.  Also, like coarser textures, it will be more prone to heat damage. In comparison to Brazilian and Indian wavy hair, this texture is the coarsest which may be easier to blend with coarser textures.
